About Us

Our people make all the difference. No discussion of our company would even be possible without our salesmen and women, without our artists, or without the many others whose love and hard work go into making our products every day. We are proud of them, and their pride is reflected each time someone opens a Bircraft Gift at a special occasion.

A few of the 20 individual steps required to make a Bircraft product:
  • Saw cutting raw acrylic
  • The carving process...
  • The creation of the Bircraft rose!
Each piece is individually carved, colored and flame polished. Orders are packed with care.

We are a family owned business!

Bircraft began as part of the war effort in WWII. Our founder, Mr. Bernard Bir, was an artist who worked during those days in a bomber factory. Acrylic was developed as an alternative to glass for our bombers, and the scraps became a favorite artistic medium for Bernard. He devised carving methods and coloring mixtures to hand carve and color internal relief sculptures. Our artists still use many of his specially designed tools, formulas, and techniques to individually sculpture and decorate each Genuine Bircraft Original. Mr. Bir designed the first #604 cross as a gift for his wife, Clara

Like many of our customers' stores, Bircraft has always been family owned and operated. This gives us the ability to simply do what is right in our policies, and we believe that our only way to success is by making as many customers happy with us as possible.

As a popular family owned gift company, Bircraft, Inc. has served the gift industry for over 60 years. We are known as the originators of distinctive, handmade acrylic giftware featuring beautifully realistic, internally carved red rose designs.

Our gift line consists of over 200 different products, and has been recently enhanced with our Cameo Classics Musicals. Making customer service and quality products our top priorities is not a sales pitch at Bircraft. Ask our customers ! Happy customers and repeat sales and sell-through is the only way we do business.

Our Cameo Classics Musical customers know how well our unique intaglio cameos with gold settings and 18-note movements sell. Try an assortment for yourself and you will see. Assortment CAM1 or CAM2 is all you need to know to get started.
